Sandra Harner is a clinical psychologist, Co-Founder of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies and serves as its Vicepresident. She is with the International Faculty and as Chief Researcher responsible for the Shamanism and Health Research Program.

Sandra Harner graduated in Psychology ans a Doctor of Fordham Universität. She also did field research through 40 years among different indigenous peoples.

She helped developing "Harner Method Shamanic Counseling" and was the leader of the Training. She taught as a lecturer atUniversity of California in Berkeley and State University of New York.
